Anthropology has been the social science charged with “reporting” on the “other” for nearly a century. In the present, that charge may need to be radically different. In the essay “Anthropology and the Other: Mediation Through Digital Story Telling”, I discuss how I see anthropology as a discipline, and how digital story telling can and should become a prominent ethnographic tool. In the tab “Memories of Inglewood”, is one short example of how I see digital story telling taking place in a format utilizing written text, though the dominant standard for Digital Story Telling is currently mostly full video format. This site is planned as an ongoing project that will be periodically updated.
